Cool! Innovative! Thinking out of the box, great work! It's a bit far out tho :)
There are too many symbols in this logo, most unrelated to XMMS2. But still, it dares to be innovative and new, which is a great point! Logos with images and ideas are cool!Though here it's a bit too nice (soft colors and gradients).
Swords! Swords! XMMS2 is indeed supposed to be the cutting edge!Unfortuately the "m"s and the "s" clutters it up a bit. Would be interesting to see it without them..
