I like the mangastyle. Maybe if it just was something other than a X, X is pretty boring, but a speaker, equalizer something related to XMMS2 in the cool perspective and same style.
Hey you. The more I look at this, the more I think a heavier border around the rounded square might benefit it. Personally I like the X. It's not done in perspective but kind of curved. Did you hand draw that or modify the font somehow?
Ah! The "X" is actually the "Airmole" font. The other letters, I think, are the "Andy" font. I have never really liked the airmole font but it seemed to work for this logo.
